CLEAR RECYCLABLE THERMAL SEALANT WITH BARRIER PROPERTIES 

EcoElement™ 3.5 mil EVOH PE Thermal Sealant is compatible with recyclable flexible packaging applications when paired with a high-density polyethylene (HDPE) or machine-direction polyethylene (MDOPE) print web. It is also an excellent sealant for converters who use non-recyclable print web for thermal packaging. To give this film oxygen and moisture barrier properties, ethylene-vinyl alcohol (EVOH) is extruded into the PE during manufacturing. 

This structure features a polyethylene (PE) core co-extruded between to PE layers: an adhesive layer for thermal lamination with a print web and a heat-sealable layer for shaping and sealing. Each heat-sensitive layer activates at a different temperature to prevent issues when running the film. Even though it is designed for thermal lamination, this product can be used with solventless lamination to function as a sealant.
